We are going to visit St Echmiadzin. St. Echmiadzin (303) is a cathedral, the Catholicosate-residence of the Catholicos – the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Holy Liturgy on Sunday, the Church of St. Hripsime (618).

At the second part of the day after excursion in the streets of Yerevan we are going to participate in Yerevan Wine Days Festival.
The festival features local wine and cheese producers displaying their products, and there is a special zone for wine sales. Local restaurants offer Armenian and world dishes as pairings with wine. This is all accompanied by talented musicians and dancers of various genres, including one of the best local DJs.

Excursion around the Matenadaran Museum and the Museum of Sergei Paradjanov from 10:00
The Matenadaran is a research institute and a repository of manuscripts (5th – 15th centuries), where 17.000 ancient Armenian manuscripts are stored.
Museum of the famous Soviet film director for those who love art and art in an unusual manifestation.

Garni Temple – monastery Geghard – Yerevan
Garni – a fortress (I century BC – XIII century AD) on the territory of which there is a unique monument of the ancient architecture of Armenia pagan temple of the sun god (77), the remains of other structures I-X cc. Gegardavank (“spear monastery”, founded in the 4th century AD, the architectural complex was erected in the 13th century Geghard – a biblical spear which, according to legend, the apostle Fadej brought to Armenia in the 1st century. The name Ayrivank is associated with the cave part The flourishing of the monastery falls on the XII-XIII centuries, during the reign of the princes Zakaryanov and Proshyanov.In the second half of the 13th century the monastery school was headed by a scientist, historian, public figure Mkhitar Airivanetsi.

Yerevan – Khor Virap Monastery – Areni winery from 10:00
Khor Virap (Deep Dungeon) – a monastery on the site destroyed in the IV. n. e. Citadels of the capital of the Great Armenia of the city of Artashat (II century BC.). Its modern view of the monastery-fortress was in the XVII century. after the devastating earthquake of 1679. From the Horvirap hills, a panorama of the biblical mountain Ararat opens. Visit Areni winery with wine tasting.

Monastery Noravank (If the road will be opened) – Yerevan
Noravank (new monastery) – the spiritual, cultural center of the principality of Orbelian and Eastern Armenia XIII – XII centuries. The architectural complex was erected around the church of St. Karapet (VI century).

Yerevan – Lake Sevan from 10:00
A walk along the Sevan Peninsula and Sevanavank Monastery. The monastery was founded in the IV. The surviving churches were built by Syunik princess Mariam in 874.

Tsaghkadzor – Yerevan
A walk along the ski resort Tsaghkadzor – a visit to the monastery complex Kecharis. The monastery Kecharis was founded in the XI century by the princes of Pahlavuni, its construction continued until the middle of the 13th century.

Yerevan – Saghmosavank monastery from 10:00
The monastery is located on the eastern outskirts of the village of Saghmosavan, Aragatsotn district of Armenia. Sagmosavank is located above the high gorge near the Kasakh River, from where it opens a breathtaking view of the entire gorge.

Monument to the “Armenian alphabet”.
The monument to the Armenian alphabet is located in the village of Artashavan in the Aragatsotn region, on the western slope of Mount Aragats. The complex was built in 2005, to the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian script. The complex includes sculptures of 39 letters of the Armenian alphabet.
Amberd Fortress (under convenient weather conditions).
Monument to serf construction of VII – XIV centuries. Amberd Fortress is located on the southern slope of Aragats, at an altitude of 2300 m above sea level. The tribal fortress of the princes of Pahlavuni, it guarded the southern approaches of the capital of the kingdom of Bagratuni, the city of Ani in the 10th-11th centuries. The second period of prosperity falls during the rule of the princes Zakaryan and Vachutyanov. From the territory of the fortress a panorama of the Ararat valley and Mount Ararat opens.
